Altogether, the National Weather Service issued an astonishing 14 tornado warnings on Thursday. To emphasize just how dangerous this particular storm was, the NWS issued a “particular dangerous situation” caveat with the tornado warning which indicated a “enhanced risk” of life-threatening weather outbreak. Eight tornadoes reportedly touched down in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before the line of storms moved out of the mid-Atlantic last week. Miraculously, there were no fatalities, although five people reported non-life threatening injuries.
