The mother called a neighbor and then the police. The neighbor reportedly came to check on the girls and began calling the teen’s name, but she said she didn’t want to respond and let the intruder know where they were. The police arrived shortly after and were able to assist the young girls.
The intruder fled without taking anything and without harming the girls. However, this scenario could have ended in tragedy if it weren’t for this teen’s quick thinking.
