A noticeably shocked graduate student later told the Buffalo News that she saw a visibly injured man double over with what appeared to be gun shot wounds to his lower abdomen. What was supposed to be a day of mental relief as students prepared for the upcoming exam week and graduation was unceremoniously ruined by a deranged shooter with an unclear motive that was laced with only malice and ill-intent. While we may never know what was running through the alleged shooter’s mind during those heart-wrenching moments, the damage he wrought will never be forgotten and will serve as a testament on how tragedies like these can be avoided altogether.
