Strange weather patterns are prevailing across ‘Tornado Alley.’ October is traditionally a quiet time of year for twisters and severe weather, but that all suddenly changed when seven tornadoes touched down across Oklahoma earlier this week. The most harrowing moments of the outbreak came when a multi-vortex tornado touched down near Oklahoma City. Although there were no injuries reported, town officials across the state are understandably shook-up after this freak tornado outbreak. Mother Nature attacked the Sooner State indiscriminately, ripping shingles from rooves and toppling power lines with ease. Some areas were hit harder than other. The Clinton Regional Airport reported that 28 out of 29 hangars received damage.
AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said a multi-vortex tornado is created when wind is rotating around several different, small centers within the tornado as opposed to one center of a tornado.

Ride Out a Multi-Vortex Tornado in a Panelized Safe Room Kit or Aboveground Shelter
So, what exactly is a multi-vortex tornado? Sort of sounds like something that can be found in an ancient Apocalyptic ‘doom and gloom’ scenario, doesn’t it? According to to AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski, a multi-vortex tornado is created when “wind is rotating around several different, small centers within the tornado as opposed to one center of a tornado.” Although these types of tornadoes can be a little more dangerous due to multiple vortexes rampaging the landscape, the storm’s intensity, as usual, is determined by wind speed.
As you can from this most recent tornado outbreak, Mother Nature is truly unpredictable. If she can conjure up a two-headed monster like a multi-vortex tornado, what else is she capable of? Tornado season is also growing in severity, as well as duration. It’s almost impossible to tell if there’s any overlap at all in the season’s beginning and end. U.S. Safe Room has engineered a steel line of formidable tornado shelters and aboveground shelters for any threat, regardless of the season.
Circumvent Bizarre Weather Patterns With Trusted Protection
2021 has been a strange year for tornadoes, compared to the two previous years that were primed for largescale death and destruction. Overall, this year has been a relatively quiet one for tornadoes, with only sporadic outbreaks. But don’t let this reprieve from severe weather lull you into a sense of complacency. Weather patterns and cycles are constantly changing. Just because tornadoes appear to be on the decline but don’t mean the nation’s three-year average won’t level itself out next year with the return of killer storms. With cooler temperatures expected to invade the nation’s heartland within the coming weeks, homeowners will be faced with an ominous choice. Will they use the relative calm and serenity of the fall season to invest in storm protection or will they once again roll the dice in 2022? By investing in a panelized safe room, you can easily transform an existing room or office into a tornado shelter and avoid the deadly effects of a multi-vortex tornado.
